The Asia Impact Forum 2026: Advancing Mission-Driven Collaboration Across Asia was held on February 25, 2026, at The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok. The forum was organized by Asia Science Mission (ASM) in collaboration with Thailand Science, Research and Innovation’s Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMUB), and Future Earth Thailand.

Asia Impact Forum 2026 served as a high-level policy platform focused on advancing mission-driven collaboration among leaders from philanthropy, development finance, government, science, and community innovation sectors. The forum addressed intensifying crises across Asia, including climate change, water scarcity, and food security—critical challenges that significantly impact social stability and ecological systems.
Christopher G. Moore, Founder of CCCL, delivered opening remarks highlighting the importance of “storytelling as a tool” to empower decision-makers to take action. Stories, whether conveyed through books or films bring out genuine human emotions. Beyond facts and data, emotional engagement plays an equally vital role in shaping meaningful responses to complex challenges.
In addition, Professor Dr. Siwatt Pongpiachan, Advisory Board Member of CCCL, participated in a breakout session titled “From Local Learning to Regional Missions” alongside three other experts.
A central theme of the forum was addressing the fragmentation of past efforts and shifting toward a unified ecosystem of collaboration. Rather than serving as a platform for declarations alone, the event functioned as a working forum, drawing lessons from real-world pilot projects across Asia. Early-stage outcome analysis enabled stakeholders to better understand mechanisms for scaling innovative solutions and reducing structural risks in investment and implementation ultimately supporting more precise and sustainable policy decisions.
ASM also introduced a new Regional Framework that systematically connects science, practice, and policy. The framework emphasizes prioritization and sequenced action to elevate small-scale pilot initiatives toward system-level transformation amid global uncertainty. The outcomes of the forum will serve as a key foundation for shaping the next strategic direction of mission-driven initiatives across Asia.
