About us

"CCCL is a supportive community, created to encourage young filmmakers to take on the subject matter of climate change, in particular the effect and the impact on local communities."
— Christopher G. Moore, Founder of CCCL

Founded by Christopher G. Moore in November 2019, Changing Climate Changing Lives (CCCL) Film Festival aims to raise awareness about climate change through the power of short films. CCCL provides a platform for filmmakers, artists and communities in Thailand and beyond to visualize stories relating to one of the biggest global challenges of our times, climate change.

CCCL was Southeast Asia’s first film festival that specifically focuses on the theme of climate change, showcasing human stories of its impacts, resilience, inspiration and innovation. Each year CCCL screens more than 40-50 short films and a few selected feature films from all corners of the globe in competition and non-competition programs. Since 2020, CCCL has organized five editions of its annual short film competition and film festival, screening over 150 short films of all genres in the competition programs selected from over 2,000 submissions from filmmakers around Asia. CCCL offers at least 10 film production grants each year to promising short film projects by young Southeast Asian filmmakers. Training and mentorship support is also available. We are proud that some CCCL alumni have gone on to have their films screened and winning awards at international film festivals or have assumed the role of mentors of the next generation of young filmmakers.
