น้ำผึ้งป่าเป็นแหล่งรายได้หลักของชุมชนในพื้นที่ชนบทบนเกาะติมอร์มาเป็นเวลายาวนาน ผลผลิตน้ำผึ้งที่ลดลงอันเกิดจากฤดูฝนและฤดูแล้งที่ไม่แน่นอนจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ส่งผลกระทบต่อระบบนิเวศและแหล่งอาหารของผึ้งเป็นอย่างมาก ขณะเดียวกันผู้นำชุมชนก็พยายามที่จะรักษาประเพณีพื้นบ้านที่เกี่ยวกับการเก็บน้ำผึ้งท่ามกลางผลผลิตน้ำผึ้งที่ลดลง

For a long time, forest honey has been the main source of livelihood for this community in rural Timor Island. Increasingly erratic rainy and dry seasons due to climate change disrupt bee ecosystems and their food sources. Meanwhile, a traditional leader strives to preserve his community's rituals amidst declining honey yields.
