ความเชื่อและความศรัทธาในเรื่อง ‘‘ผีตาแฮก’’ ประเพณีท้องถิ่นเกี่ยวกับการปลูกข้าวของชาวบ้านกู่กาสิงห์ จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด สะท้อนให้เห็นการเคารพบูชาผืนดิน ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับการดูแลรักษาธรรมชาติและระบบนิเวศที่ซับซ้อนของดิน
การดูแลรักษา ‘ดิน’ คือหนึ่งหนทางในการปกป้องและซ่อมแซมดินที่เสื่อมโทรมจากภัยคุกคามต่างๆ เช่นเดียวกับพิธีการสักการะบูชา ‘ผีตาแฮก’ ที่ช่วยหล่อหลอมใจผู้คนให้มีความกตัญญูและสำนึกในบุญคุณต่อธรรมชาติ

“Phi Ta Haak”, a local belief and tradition that is related to rice cultivation, is practiced among people in Ku Ka Sing, Roi Et province. The documentary portrays people’s belief and ritual in worshipping spirits that guard over the land, the soil, and the lives of people and show the benefits to the soil ecosystem.
