ENOUGH is a slice-of-life short film that follows Lila, a designer in her late 20s, as she navigates what appears to be a typical, meticulously planned morning routine. However, all is not as it seems when she confronts a stark reality, leading to a life-altering decision.

  • Official Selection, Changing Climate, Changing Lives Film Festival 2025

  • How did we arrive at the precipice of Climate Change? Why do we embrace a way of life that imperils our planet's future? How can we compel people to question the lifestyles and societal norms they've become accustomed to? What are the existing solutions? Or what if the world in the 50s didn’t turn to consumerism?

This project is a personal endeavor, driven by these very questions that led me to write this script: to illuminate why we, myself included, fail to make the necessary sacrifices to enact change – because the systems and societies we inhabit have lulled us into complacency, allowing us to sleepwalk through life on autopilot.

In today's fast-paced world, we often forget to slow down and see the small actions that shape our lives and impact our planet, whether profoundly or subtly.

Traditionally, a story would delve into the struggles and conflicts faced by the protagonist, only unveiling solutions later. However, I wanted to flip that narrative, casting a spotlight on the numerous personal and industrial solutions from the very start. This approach allows the audience to ponder the protagonist's lifestyle, gradually appreciating its merits or perhaps experiencing a sudden realization of their initial misjudgment as the narrative takes an unexpected turn.

The third act serves as a powerful contrast, exposing the harsh realities of our modern way of living – its unjustified wastefulness, its underlying addictions, and its deceptive convenience. A lifestyle that will undoubtedly resonate with the audience.

The ending stands as a poignant reminder, confronting the audience with the alternative lifestyle that is staring at them in the face, leaving them to ponder on their next steps.

This is not a story that points fingers at individuals, as they are the product of their society, but a broader critique of social media's influence, unsustainable living standards, and profit-driven industries.

This tale draws inspiration from my own life experiences. I long for the day when I would be able to refill my CeraVe cream and collect fresh eggs like at my parents' countryside home in Rayong.
