COP 28 ภาคประชาชน : กู้วิกฤติโลกเดือดด้วยมือประชาชน

CCCL ร่วมฉายหนัง 3 เรื่อง และสนทนาในประเด็น "เล่าเรื่องผลกระทบจากวิกฤต โลกรวนผ่านหนังสั้น" ในงานเวทีนโยบายและวิชาการสาธารณะกู้วิกฤติโลกเดือด และความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพด้วยมือประชาชน (COP ภาคประชาชน ครั้งที่ 28) เมื่อวันที่ 11 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2566 เวลา 13.00 - 15.00 น. ที่ ศูนย์มานุษยวิทยาสิรินธร (องค์กรมหาชน) กรุงเทพมหานคร

หนังจาก CCCL ทั้ง 3 เรื่องที่ได้ร่วมฉายในงาน COP ภาคประชาชน ได้แก่

1. ปะนาเระ เรือเล็กอาจจะไม่ได้ออกจากฝั่ง โดย ณภัทร เวชชศาสตร์

สารคดีเรื่องที่จะพาไปสำรวจมุมมองของคนในชุมชน ที่มีต่อสภาพการเปลี่ยนแปลงภูมิอากาศ ว่าพวกเขาประสบปัญหาอย่างไร และจะปรับตัวเพื่อรักษาอาชีพประมงพื้นบ้านที่เปรียบดั่งกระดูกสันหลังของพวกเขาให้อยู่รอดต่อไปได้อย่างไร

2. ผัดไทย โดย วีรยา วิชยประเสริฐกุล

สารคดีสะท้อนปัญหาภาวะโลกร้อนและการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ผ่านเมนู “ผัดไทย” หนึ่งในสุดยอดอาหารไทยที่คนทั่วโลกต่างรู้จัก

3. FIRST DRAFT โดย ณพวัฒน์ ลิขิตวงศ์

‘ตั๋ง’ เด็กฝึกงานห้องอัดเสียงแห่งหนึ่งกำลังเตรียมไฟล์เพลงให้กับหัวหน้าเพื่อนำเสนอลูกค้า ซึ่งเพลงที่ห้องอัดกำลังทำเป็นเพลงรณรงค์เกี่ยวกับโลกร้อน ทว่า ตั๋งกลับพบว่ามีข้อมูลหลายอย่างในเนื้อเพลงที่ไม่ถูกต้อง เขาต้องพยายามบอกหัวหน้าให้แก้ไขก่อนที่ลูกค้าจะใกล้เข้ามาฟังดราฟทแรกในอีกไม่กี่ชั่วโมงข้างหน้า

ภายหลังจบการฉายหนัง ผู้กำกับหนังทั้ง 3 เรื่อง ได้แก่ คุณณพวัฒน์ ลิขิตวงศ์ คุณวีรยา วิชยประเสริฐกุล และคุณณภัทร เวชชศาสตร์ ได้ร่วมสนทนาในประเด็น "การเล่าเรื่องผลกระทบจากวิกฤต โลกรวนผ่านหนังสั้น"

โดยจุดประสงค์ของงาน COP ภาคประชาชน คือ

1. จัดตั้งเวทีข้อเสนอนโยบายต่อโลกและรัฐบาลว่าด้วยการจัดการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศที่เป็นธรรมและยั่งยืน

2. นำเสนอองค์ความรู้ บทเรียนชุมชนกลุ่มต่าง ๆ กับการรับมือการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ

3. เปิดพื้นที่สื่อสาร การเรียนรู้เรื่องราว ชีวิตของผู้คนที่เผชิญการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ผ่านภาพยนตร์ สื่อศิลปะต่าง ๆ

CCCL screened three short films and joined a discussion on “Telling the Impacts of the Climate Crisis through Short Films” at the Public Policy and Academic Forum on Tackling the Boiling Planet Crisis and Biodiversity through Citizen Action (COP 28: The People Edition) on 11 November 2023, 13:00–15:00, at the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre (Public Organization), Bangkok.

The three CCCL films screened at the COP 28: The People Edition were:

1. PANARE, SHIP ON THE SHORE  - Napat Wesshasartar

‘Panare’ fishing community in Pattani is surrounded by sandy beaches and vast sea. Fishing is the main source of making a living for the people. This documentary explores the community's views on climate change, the impacts they experience and the adaptation methods they use to save local fisheries, the backbone of the community.

2. Pad Thai - Weeraya Vichayaprasertkul

"Pad Thai" is a documentary reflecting climate change through one of the most famous Thai dishes in the world.

3. First Draft by Nopawat Likitwong

Tang, an intern at a recording studio, is preparing a music file for his boss to present to the client. The recorded song is about raising awareness on climate change but Tang finds that something is wrong in the lyrics. He then tries to convince his boss to fix this first draft before the client arrives in a few hours.

After the screenings, the directors Nopawat Likitwong, Weeraya Vichayaprasertkul, and Napat Wesshasartar joined a discussion on “Telling the Impacts of the Climate Crisis through Short Films.”

The objectives of the COP 28: The People Edition were:

• To establish a platform for policy proposals to the world and governments on fair and sustainable climate change management.

• To present knowledge and lessons from different community groups on coping with climate change.

• To provide a space for communicating and learning about the lives of people experiencing climate change through films and various forms of artistic media.
