THE LAST CLIMBER (Thida Swe / 15 min / 2026 / Myanmar)

In central Myanmar, toddy palms stand as silent witnesses to generations of life. One family grows and lives alongside them, carrying on their father’s care while sustaining their own children. As forests shrink and rising temperatures threaten the land, many palms are felled for profit. Yet this family chooses to protect their grove. The toddy palm becomes more than a tree—it is a giver, a memory of love, and a quiet bond between people and the land.

ในภาคกลางของเมียนมา ต้นตาลโตนดตั้งตระหง่านเป็นพยานของชีวิตที่สืบทอดกันมารุ่นต่อรุ่น ครอบครัวหนึ่งเติบโตและใช้ชีวิตเคียงข้างต้นตาลเหล่านี้มาทั้งชีวิต ท่ามกลางป่าที่หดหายและอุณหภูมิที่สูงขึ้น ผู้คนเลิกปีนเก็บลูกตาล ทำให้ต้นตาลจำนวนมากถูกโค่นทิ้งเพื่อประเโยชน์อื่น แต่ครอบครัวหนึ่งกลับเลือกที่จะปกป้องพวกมันไว้ ต้นตาลจึงไม่ใช่แค่ต้นไม้ หากแต่เป็นผู้ให้ เป็นความทรงจำของความรัก และเป็นสายใยระหว่างผู้คนกับผืนดิน

In Phuket, amateur conservationist Theerasak “Pop” Saksritawee works alongside scientists to monitor the dugongs that have returned to the island. As he forms a close bond with two dugongs he names Miracle and Jingjok, he witnesses the growing threats facing them, from the decline of dugong populations to the loss of seagrass meadows. Through Pop’s journey, the film becomes a personal call to protect these gentle giants before they disappear.

ในจังหวัดภูเก็ต นักอนุรักษ์สมัครเล่น “ป๊อป” ธีรศักดิ์ ศักดิ์ศรีทวี อาสาทำงานร่วมกับนักวิทยาศาสตร์เพื่อติดตามพะยูนที่กลับมาปรากฏตัวในพื้นที่ เขาค่อย ๆ สร้างความผูกพันกับพะยูนสองตัวที่ตั้งชื่อว่า มิราเคิล และจิ้งจก ขณะเดียวกันก็ได้เห็นภัยคุกคามที่พะยูนกำลังเผชิญ ทั้งจำนวนประชากรที่ลดลงและการสูญเสียทุ่งหญ้าทะเล ผ่านเรื่องราวของป๊อป หนังจึงกลายเป็นเสียงเรียกร้องเล็ก ๆ ให้เราร่วมปกป้องพะยูนก่อนที่ทุกอย่างจะสายเกินไป

In Bangkok’s Khlong Toei district, residents of all ages endure the sweltering heat of the city while living with limited resources. After a devastating fire destroys their homes, the community faces the difficult task of rebuilding their lives amid an already harsh urban environment. Their stories reveal how heat, inequality, disaster and resilience are deeply intertwined.
