นันทชัย ภู่โพธิ์เกตุ (41 ปี) เริ่มต้นจากกองบรรณาธิการนิตยสารสังคม-ธุรกิจ (2550) ก่อนเบนเข็มสู่งานสิทธิมนุษยชนของผู้ลี้ภัย แรงงานข้ามชาติ และกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ (2552) และก้าวสู่การเป็นนักกิจกรรมด้านสุขภาวะและความเป็นธรรมทางเพศ (2555–2565) ตลอดกว่าทศวรรษ เธอเรียนรู้ชีวิตคนชายขอบที่ชายแดน พัฒนากระบวนการเสริมพลัง และส่งเสียงของพวกเขาผ่านข้อเขียนและภาพถ่ายไปสู่ผู้กำหนดนโยบาย

หลังโควิด-19 นันทชัยลาออกจากงานประจำ หันมาเป็นนักเล่าเรื่องเต็มตัวผ่านภาพยนตร์สารคดีสั้น เธอหันกล้องมาที่ตัวตนและชุมชนของคนข้ามเพศที่เธอเป็นส่วนหนึ่ง เพื่อฉายภาพพวกเขาในมิติที่ลึกกว่าภาพตัวตลกหรือนางโชว์บนหน้าจอ แต่ในฐานะมนุษย์ที่สัมพันธ์กับสังคม สิ่งแวดล้อม สิทธิ และจิตวิญญาณ เธอหวังให้ผู้ชมได้มองเห็นคนข้ามเพศในฐานะมนุษย์ที่มีศักดิ์ศรี และสมควรได้รับสิทธิเท่าเทียมกับทุกคนนันทชัย ภู่โพธ์เกตุ เกิดเมื่อปี 2528 ที่จังหวัดเชียงราย สำเร็จการศึกษาในระดับนิเทศศาสตร์บัณฑิต สาขาวิชา การประชาสัมพันธ์ มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร ผลงานในปัจจุบันคือ การทำสื่อเพื่อพัฒนาศักยภาพเด็กเละเยาวชน และทำสื่อเกี่ยวกับกระบวนสุขภาวะทางเพศ รวมถึงมีผลงานงานด้านโทรทัศน์ในรายการ ‘ที่นี่บ้านเรา’ ตอน ‘แรงงานบ้านจ้อง’ เผยแพร่ทาง ช่องไทยพีบีเอส ปี 2562 นันทชัยยังเป็นนักข่าวพลเมือง ThaiPBS อีกด้วย

Nantachai Phuphokate (41) began a career on the editorial team of a social and business magazine in 2007 before moving into human rights work with refugees, migrant workers, and ethnic communities in 2009. From 2012 to 2022, Nantachai was actively involved in advocacy for health equity and gender justice. Over more than a decade, Nantachai worked closely with marginalized communities along border regions, developing empowerment initiatives and amplifying their voices through writing and photography to policymakers and the broader public.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Nantachai left a full-time position to pursue storytelling through short documentary filmmaking. Turning the camera toward personal experiences and the transgender communities of which Nantachai is a part, the films seek to portray transgender people beyond the stereotypical images of comic relief or cabaret performers often seen on screen. Instead, the work presents transgender people as human beings whose lives are deeply connected to society, the environment, rights, and spirituality. Through documentary filmmaking, Nantachai hopes audiences will recognize transgender people as individuals with dignity who deserve equal rights and opportunities, just like everyone else.
