In central Myanmar, toddy palms stand as silent witnesses to generations of life. One family grows and lives alongside them, carrying on their father’s care while sustaining their own children. As forests shrink and rising temperatures threaten the land, many palms are felled for profit. Yet this family chooses to protect their grove. The toddy palm becomes more than a tree—it is a giver, a memory of love, and a quiet bond between people and the land.
