From an early age, Raphaël Kaddour developed an interest in genre cinema. On leaving secondary school, he went straight into directing studies at the Institut des arts de diffusion (IAD) in Belgium. At the end of his studies, he made a short documentary called ‘Buda’ about the work of workers in a waste sorting centre.
