Coming from the Northeastern region of the Philippines, Austin Tan is a screenwriter and director of narrative and experimental films that tackles political and social topics through concepts that deal on memory and death, and to make stories for the underprivileged and the voiceless. His latest short, Ngatta Naddaki y Nuang? recently premiered at the 10th edition of QCinema International Film Festival

Now, he is working on his first feature project with his producer, Stelle Labuanan, which received project development support from Locarno Open Doors, Film Development Council of the Philippines, Full Circle Lab, and EAVE Ties that Bind.
